Planning your visit

Know before you go.

  1. Bring the child’s health records, any referral and relevant reports.
  2. Relatives may stay overnight; speak with the ward nurse about arrangements.
  3. Ask reception to confirm the clinician and any specialist paediatric availability required for your child.
  4. Visitors to maternity and children’s wards should be close family or other visitors authorised by the patient or family. Check with the ward nurse before visiting.
